ARAMIS 1,54 µm Erbium Glass
Acne treatment

Acne is a disease of the sebaceous glands of the skin and is caused by clogged pores by the increased sebum production and the presence of bacteria.

With more than 40% of teenagers and a significant percentage of the adult population afflicted, acne is one of the most challenging conditions facing Dermatologists today.
Other than systemic drugs and their numerous, often severe side-effects, the only options available to physicians were to keep the infection under control, either using medication or blue light irradiation. In both of these cases, only the symptoms were treated ...
... until now !

The Aramis uses a combination of:

1. A patented wavelength,
2. Pulse modulation,
3. Contact cooling,

to produce a sub-coagulative thermal injury leading to a temporary alteration in the size and function of the overactive sebaceous gland. This thermal effect kills bacteria and reduces sebum production.

1. The ideal wavelength: 1.54 µm
At 1.54 µm the patented wavenlength of the Aramis is ideally absorbed by water, directly targeting the sebaceous glands.

2. A laser shot in pulses:
Thanks to the principle of pulse train mode, the laser effects will take place at the level of the sebaceous glands located deeper in the dermis.
The number of pulses will depend on the required depth of penetration (down to 900 microns).

3. A constant autoregulated contact cooling system:
Auto-regulated at 5°C, the handpiece provides:
 Desensitization of the treatment area.
Painless gentle cooling with no erythema or edema.

1 + 2 + 3 =
Ideal penetration depth, targeting the sebaceous gland.
 Thermally reduces sebum production.
Induces collagen production to simultaneously reduce the incidence of acne scarring.
 Fast, no pre-treatment regimen.
 Treatment virtually painless.
 No associated side-effects.

With the Aramis laser, you don't just treat the symptoms of acne, you treat the source !
